In the footsteps of the Bard?

Sheri Wright, Georgia Wallace, Nana Lampton and I will be reading this 5 – 7 pm, Sunday, June 19, at the Bard’s Town, 1801 Bardstown Road in Louisville.

Yes, it’s Father’s Day, so bring the Dad of your choice, buy him a delicious dinner at a reasonable price, and enjoy the readings of four very lively poets.

She is working on a November 2011 exhibit of oils and watercolor paintings for the Morlan Gallery at Transylvania University and a January 2012 show at Actors Theatre. She lives and farms in Goshen, Kentucky.

Georgia Wallace’s latest chapbook, The Coming Fall, was released by Finishing Line Press in May. She is the author of a previous chapbook, My Father’s Daughter (Grex Press), and her work has recently appeared in The Tipton Poetry Journal and chicagopoetry.com She is the recipient of a professional development grant from the Kentucky Arts Council.

Sheri L. Wright is the author of five books of poetry, the most recent, The Slow Talk of Stones, from Finishing Line Press. Her work has appeared in numerous journals, including Chiron Review, Crucible, Earth’s Daughters and Pigeonbike. And just for catblogging fun, here’s an undated photo I found in the album of an unnamed cat sleeping in the shavings under Thomas’s lathe. We have no idea who or when this cat is:
