(0)We lived on Woodlawn Avenue in Chicago for several years in the 1970s, in an apartment across the landing from a man who constantly practiced “The Entertainer,” and constantly made the same mistake over and over.
The was shortly after The Sting came out.
So to celebrate Scott Joplin’s birthday, I think I’ll give you this piano-roll recording of Joplin playing the “Maple Leaf Rag.”
