    I was going to try to make a poetry postcard with this photo but could think of no words to enhance it so I thought I’d just share it. I love the purples and the lacy texture of the leaves.

    Meanwhile, if my late okra salutes the sun, Ro sends a photo of her September okra in a salute to the moon:

    And speaking of plants that refuse to lie down and die, here’s what our collards looked like after the heavy frost last week. It, too, made a come back and we ate fresh collards yesterday:
