Eastern Kentucky University’s low-residency MFA in creative writing is having their January 2009 residency this week and my friend Jim Tomlinson is on the visiting faculty.

He reads tonight at 7:30, so if you’re looking for something to do with your Friday evening, a jaunt to Richmond might be fun. You might even get to hear something from his forthcoming collection, Nothing Like An Ocean.

Julianna Baggot reads tomorrow night at 8. Another event you might want to take in for the weekend.
