And yet there he still is…
A new American Research Group poll shows that:
A total of 64% of American voters say that President George W. Bush has abused his powers as president. Of the 64%, 14% (9% of all voters) say the abuses are not serious enough to warrant impeachment, 33% (21% of all voters) say the abuses rise to the level of impeachable offenses, but he should not be impeached, and 53% (34% of all voters) say the abuses rise to the level of impeachable offenses and Mr. Bush should be impeached and removed from office.

And if anything is said about this, the punditocracy will explode with very, very concerned advice for the wellbeing of the Democratic Party:
“Oh no, you don’t want to do that, impeachment would hurt your chances at getting elected in 2008!”
And the Democrats, of course, would listen. Why on Earth are the Democratic Party leaders listening to Republican advice?
When I was griping about Mukasey being confirmed this past weekend, someone said to me: “It’s just one more year. Don’t worry about it.”
It’s never too early to remove a corrupt person in a leadership position. One more year is a very long time. How many people are going to be harmed before the end of January, 2009? How many people are going to be harmed after that date?
“We’re an Empire now,” said one White House official, “and when we act, we make our own reality.”
These people think they can do anything they want to, that that’s what power means. They don’t get the whole concept of responsibility.
Sorry, done ranting. Hope the rest of your Wednesday is tolerable!
Love,
