The nonagenarian
Today is the actual date of my mother’s 90th birthday.
She had a lovely party on Sunday, with much music and laughter and a tiny bit of dance. Music, dance, and laughter, love, tolerance, and forgiveness are her gifts to the world and to her children.

It’s true, Alan. Mom has wit aplenty and stories to tell. I love to listen to them. I steal some of them for my poems.
