Your Score: The Wolf

Here’s your results! Your spirit animal has a Nobility ranking of 12 out of 18.

Your spirit animal is the wolf. It is a ferocious companion, and a loyal friend. It is both a respectable and noble creature; to have this spirit animal says good things about you, and that you are starting to figure things out. Wolves are pretty rare spirit animals.

***Wondering how this animal was chosen for you? These questions were carefully thought out to see how important you hold certain virtues such as: humanism, self-knowledge, rationalism, the love of freedom and other somewhat Hellenic ideals. Some of the questions were very subtle. Your score was then matched with an animal of corresponding nobility. However, you shouldn’t think this was a right/wrong sort of test, but more of an idealistic values test. It’s ok to not hold these values, you’ll just get an animal spirit of lower stature if you do!***

I found this test on Ahistorically’s blog. She says it tracks Aristotelian values.

I’m a bat. Which apparently gives me a nobility rating of 9/18, although that seems a bit harsh on bats to me.

18/18, Iam a grizzly Bear! I have always known my totem was a bear, but a grizzly! Oh, my! — Rosalie

Hmmm, Harry, I like bats, too. What’s so ignoble about them? And oh my, Rosalie, a grizzly. I knew you were fierce.

I am a cougar. That’s okay. I love cats. They are independent or so they would have you think.

  • 5. Poppysmatus replies at 8th August 2007, 4:37 pm :

I appear to be the Noble Elk–mebbe so, but there is probably more weasel there than they realize– I doubt my nobility quotient is really 15/18.

I ended up a bat, too.

  • 7. sherry replies at 8th August 2007, 5:59 pm :

I can see you as a cougar, Darlene, as I can see Rosalie as a grizzly and Poppysmatus as Noble Elk (this as opposed to an ordinary Elk?) but I don’t see myself as a wolf, they being pack animals and all.

I re-iterate, Terry, bats are wonderful critters. I like spiders, too, but I guess spirit animals have to be mammals. Though I do have a friend who asked what it meant to have a possum for a spirit animal.

I couldn’t ever get the darn site to believe I actually knew my own e-mail address, so I gave up. I scored 18/18. Guess I’m a grizzly bear like Rosalie.

I came out an Otter, with a Nobility of 11/18, which is (of course) an irreducible fraction.

    I’m irritating like that :3

Of course, I recommend keeping an eye on us Otters. We’re up to something.

  • 11. Tommy replies at 9th August 2007, 9:27 am :

On the upside, I tested in the 99% percentile on Nobility out of all testers of my age group.

  • 12. Tommy replies at 9th August 2007, 9:28 am :

Oh, for all us cat fanciers.

  • 13. sherry replies at 9th August 2007, 9:40 am :

Oh well, Helen, it’s a dating site. I guess you can’t expect a lot. “And just what,” my husband asked, “were you doing at a dating site?”

  • 14. sherry replies at 9th August 2007, 9:43 am :

Watch out, John Travolta! LOL, Tommy. From one who is 2/3 noble — but oh that other third!

  • 15. darlene replies at 9th August 2007, 12:36 pm :

A dating site! Yikes! Well, even if I wasn’t married, who would date a cougar? They’re loners and they tend to be predators! A cougar would eat John Travolta!

Just kidding. Sherry, thanks. I actually admire cats of all kinds. I think a wolf is strong-willed and free-spirited and although they are pack animals, caring for their own, they are also very capable of self-preservation. So, a wolf…might not be a bad thing!

Oh well, Darlene, I’m probably more a pack animal than I’d like to think. I always taught my kids that cooperation is better than competition — an unpopular philosophy in this age of unfettered capitolism.

Poor John Travolta! But wolves are predators, too, and would probably eat the Noble Elk.
