Peanut Prevails

Another dank & drizzly November day and nary a snowball nor tophat in sight, but I have a lap full of arthritic tomcat. Peanut is both a comfort and a trial, especially when he decides to chase the hand moving the mouse or typing on the keyboard. When he was a kitten he liked to perch on my shoulder while I carved, a disquieting situation if I had much of a bur in the handpiece or any size scorp in a spoon bowl. All too soon he got too large to do that, but he can still dominate my lap and thwart my typing hand with his paws.

Love the idea of you carving with a cat on your shoulder! I’ve tried to weave with a kitten in the house. Not much got accomplished. She ended up inside the basket and my hands ended up with scratches. Didn’t work out well at all. Did I mention the laughter while all this was going on?
