Brought over from a temporary blog I’d set up at Yahoo and didn’t really need:
Hey gang! We’ve run into some temporary difficulties at the blog so I am camping out here at Yahoo for a few days to keep the conversation going until we have a chance to find a more stable home environment.
Much going on! The KSPS meeting was wonderful, though I can tell you that I fail miserably at Kipling’s admonition “If you can keep your head while all around are losing theirs.” I am way too distractable to make a good executive officer.
Nevertheless, Diane Gilliam Fisher and Lee Pennington both made great presentations and the buffet food wasn’t too shabby.
More on KSPS as I get caught up, unpacked, and wound down.
A must-read for us Kentuckians is the Lexington Herald-Leader’s excellent exposé of Mitch McConnell. The article in yesterday’s paper is the first in a four-part series. The investigation did not go forward without opposition, as this Editor & Publisher article explains. I’m proud of the Herald-Leader for undertaking this project. I think I’ll renew my subscription. I dropped it when they refused to run a Doonesbury years ago that made fun of Dan Quayle, drug dealer.
I’m not going to try to set up my links and such here, as this is just a temporary location. I’ll be back in business soon. Have some patience with me.
