The Seasons Turn

Soft and in the distance, I heard the hoot owls this morning at about 5:10.

I always breathe a sigh of relief to hear them, thinking each year that the encroachments of Wal-Mart and Starbucks will take them away from us.

I’m not sure what to add to this. But it’s too good a post to go commentless.

Thanks, Helen. The hoot owls are one of life’s consolations here in Paris, Kentucky.

The Corolla, Charlie, is that Toyota gold that I think is probably the most invisible color on the roads. I had a Camry that color once and folk were always pulling out in front of me, even though I usually drove with my headlights on. It was finally totalled when somebody did that on a rainy winter afternoon.
