Betty Sparks

I just got word that Betty Sparks, long-time KSPS member and author of Poet Laureates of Kentucky, has died.

I didn’t know Betty personally but her work on the laureates was a service to the writing community in the state for which I am grateful.

My correspondent says, “We shall miss her sweetness and her dimpled smile.”
