Just received the winter/spring 2006 Pegasus with poems by

- Mary O’Dell
and many others, including one from me called “On the Eve of Leap Day,” which is a pretty nice little rhymed 4×4, if I do say so myself.
Also reviews of Robert W. Kimsey’s Paths from the Shawnee Spring (self-published), Elizabeth Howard’s Gleaners (Grandmother Earth, 2005), and Wade Hall’s The Kentucky Anthology (University Press of Kentucky) A subscription to Pegasus comes with membership in the Kentucky State Poetry Society. Also our Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet at which we will celebrate our 40th anniversary, workshop with and listen to wonderful presenters, and give out awards for the poetry contest. It’s at the Blue Licks Battlefield State Park Resort, October 13 & 14. For reservations, call 800-443-7008 – mention the Kentucky State Poetry Society group arriving on October 13.
Reasonable event rates for the Saturday afternoon workshop and Saturday night banquet/reading are available for those who live locally and may not want to stay at the resort.
