Joy Bale Boone Prize 2006

The Heartland Review has announced the 2006 Joy Bale Boone Poetry Prize

1st Place $175
2nd Place $100
3rd Place $75
and publication in The Heartland Review Spring 2006 issue

The judge is Lisa Williams winner of the May Swenson Poetry Award, a Henry Hoyns Fellowship, an Academy of American Poets Prize, an Elliston Prize, a Walter E. Dakin fellowship, and the 2004-2005 Rome Prize in Literature by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She teaches at Centre College.

There is a $5 entry fee for one poem, $3 for each additional poem. Send cover page with name and address. Name and address should not appear on poems. Poems should be typed and no longer than 30 lines.

Post mark deadline for entries is January 10, 2006.

Winners will be announced in April and invited to read at the Morrison Gallery Poetry Series Poetry Month Celebration.
