Women Writers Conference Prize for Creative Nonfiction
The Women Writers Conference Prize for Creative Nonfiction will be given to a writer who demonstrates excellence in the essay form.
The final judge for the prize is Sarah Vowell, author of Assassination Vacation and The Partly Cloudy Patriot and longtime contributor to This American Life and McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern.
The winner receives a $500 award plus a trip to the 27th annual Women Writers Conference, April 20 – 23, 2006, where she or he will read with Sarah Vowell at the Conference’s premier event, the Hardwick/Jones Reading.
$15 reading fee. Deadline for submissions is November 11, 2005.
