Well, my dears, I certainly failed in my promise of a lovely weekend for the KGAC fall arts and crafts fair. Oh well, we need the rain and I have even heard some people say they’re looking forward to cooler weather. Fair goers are a hearty lot and I still hope to see you all down there.

Meantime, here’s some rainy autumn morning reading:

Military’s Role in a Flu Pandemic by David Brown in the Washington Post

Domestic Defense by Michael Isikoff and Mark Hosenball in Newsweek

Dresscode for Southwest at The Daily Troll

No evidence backs up reports of rescue helicopters being fired upon by Miriam Hill and Nicholas Spangler at Knight-Ridder

By Tearing Open that Cardboard Box, Are You Also Signing on the Dotted Line? by J. D. Biersdorfer, NYTimes online

“Real” Shakespeare Claim Whips Up Tempest Anew

“Calvin and Hobbes” Creator Finally “Speaks” — in Book Intro in Editor & Publisher

And recommended viewing unless you’re using a modem:
