Believe it or not, this has a Kentucky connection.
While I was at Hindman, I overheard a conversation in the lady’s room to the effect that Bernard Goldberg will be coming to the 24th annual Kentucky Book Fair on November 12. Cooing over this coup, the ladies were going on about his wonderful book 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America (and Al Franken Is #37) (HarperCollins 2005).
The screw-ups are all liberals, apparently.
If you are among those who admire Goldberg, then you have something to look forward to.
If you are among those who think that Goldberg should just possibly have listed himself, you might enjoy the new blog ScrewingAmerica.
The blog is the work of Linda Hirshman, #77 on Goldberg’s list of screwups. Its mission, as you may have guessed, is to refute Goldberg.
Addendum: Watching Comment on Kentucky on Friday, I learned of two new websites that may be of interest to those of us hungry for local political news. One, ConservativeEdge, is intended to be a sort of online newspaper/service with a conservative filter. The other, BluegrassReport, is more of a traditional (?) blog and decidedly liberal. Both have much to say about Ernie Fletcher and the Blackberry Jam.
