A Tabby Adapts
The blind cat sat,
paws tail-covered,
and cocked his gray ears
toward the whine of a fly.
Up, down, around,
he followed the fly song,
his dilated eyes
bouncing the light like mirrors.
Deep, high, soft, loud,
he followed the fly song
until
his fangs flashed white,
he snapped,
and there was silence.
