House Writers at Fauntleroy’s Tonight

The last couple of days have been rough here in Kentucky. It’s almost as though Mother Nature were clearing her cupboard, dumping all her unused winter before it goes out of date.

If you’ve got the no-fair-I-thought-spring-was-here blues, you can find consolation at Fauntleroy’s Café and Espresso Bar this evening. The House Writers are on the program with jazz by Trace Branch. And while you’re listening to great writing and great jazz, you can view “Visions of the Psyche,” paintings by Laura Perry-Eklund. You could also check your e-mail with Fauntleroy’s wireless internet, but I don’t think you’ll want to with so many exciting things going on in what I think might be called real time.

Fauntleroy’s is located at 640 West Maxwell in Lexington. The program begins at 8 pm.

Hey Sherry– thanks for the mention! Two really wonderful writers will be reading this evening. Steve Lyon’s first novel, The Gift Moves, just won the SCBWI Golden Kite Honor for 2005! And Barbara Fischer will be reading, too. Her short story, Bingo Eve, was recently featured in Tampa Review! Both write with much humor and heart, which should make for a fun evening!
